Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a 2-year full-time diploma course to train teachers for primary level teaching, ie, from class I to VIII. DElEd stands for a Diploma course in Elementary Education and covers the teaching methods of children between the ages of 6 to 14.
Exam Type- Yearly
Eligibility- 50% in Higher Secondary (10+2), with Bengali as a language subject.
Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
After the completion of the D.El.Ed course, the candidates have to appear for CTET or State level TET exams for starting a career as an elementary school teacher. Candidates aspiring for getting jobs in government schools will have to appear for the Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRT) conducted by the respective state government.The pay in the Government sector is about 30% higher than in the private sector, hence the candidates usually aim for the government schools.
